COVID-19 Update

To Our Patients and Their Families,

UPDATE - Now Taking Regular Appointments

We are now taking appointments for regular dental treatment, but be aware appointments will be a little longer than usual and we are prioritizing those with more urgent needs.

The well-being of our patients, team, family and community is of paramount importance. This is why we have made certain modifications at our location to make your dental visit as safe as possible including but not limited to: adding air purifier systems in each room, adding sneeze guard in the front desk, safe distancing chairs in the reception, limiting amount of staff and patients at same time in the premises, cleaning and disinfecting common areas- door knobs with same products as we use in dental rooms.

Upon arrival we will let you in once we are ready to see you, we will ask you to hand sanitize, and we will check your temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels, plus screen you for covid-19 signs and symptoms, we also screen staff members daily; sometimes we might feel necessary to postpone the appointment for everyones safety. Please wear a mask or face covering when coming in and leaving.

Be aware that only booked patients will be allowed in the premises unless a child or someone who needs support needs to be accompanied.

If you had an appointment booked at Astra Dental during our closure be assure we will be trying to contact you to reschedule your appointment for a date/time that best serves you if we have not done so already. Then if needed we will reschedule again.

We recommend all of our patients to wash their hands frequently with hand soap or 70% hand sanitizer, sneeze and cough into your sleeve, avoid touching your face, avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home if you aren’t feeling well. If you have travelled outside of Toronto, please monitor yourself and if needed isolate for 14 days. Be aware that the risk is severe for people whose immune system is weakened like elderly or those of any age with preexistent disease (like: diabetes, cancer, heart, renal, or chronic lung disease); also be aware that it has been recognized that children might be carriers of the virus and not show any signs or symptoms.

We are always posting additional updates through Facebook and Instagram to keep our community and patients abreast of the latest updates.

Again, thank you for being a valued patient with Astra Dental. We appreciate your continued trust and confidence. Together we can overcome these challenging circumstances and continue your path to greater health! We look forward to see you very soon.

Dr Santana and her staff are very professional and excellent explaining all the possible treatments for my dental needs. Did not have to wait for my appointment. Astra Dental is a great Dental Clinic in North York, near Yonge and Finch intersection and near the Subway Station so very easy to get there by public transit. I will highly recommend Astra Dental to all my friends in North York and Toronto area.

Astra Dental has a new Dentist and she is amazing. The whole office looks nicer now.
I took my kid and he had a great experience. Dr. Santana took the time to explain every step and although he was nervous at first, then he was fine. The tv in the room is a big plus. I will recommend this place.
